In Part 2 we’ll discuss pricing strategies, money mindset, ethical sales tactics, and the structure and steps recommended for success. With these strategies and best practices, you can transform your followers into paying clients, creating a sustainable and purposeful business.
A Business, Not a Hobby
Only some spiritual creators, psychics, or tarot readers with an online community can convert enough of its members into paying clients to run a profitable business. There are many spiritual thought leaders, teachers, and practitioners who have lots of people who love their work, energy, content, and transmission. Still, they might lack clarity in their communications about what they offer, the problems they solve, what clients can expect, and what differentiates them.
The problem is, if you want your spiritual business to be your main source of income, you have to get clarity, take the right steps, and bring in enough revenue to run a profitable and sustainable practice. That’s how you’ll be able to keep doing what you love and sharing your gifts with the world.
If you’re in the early stages of your business or even if you’ve been around the block but want to make some effective improvements in your offering, pricing, or business model so you can convert your followers into paying clients, read on as we break down the basic and proven steps to success for your spiritual entrepreneurial journey.
Understanding Your Purpose
At its center, every business needs to have the purpose to make people’s lives better — if it’s going to be sustainable. You’ve got what it takes, you just need to take your vision and get it down on paper — this is a power move, so please don’t skip it.
Answer the following three questions:
1. How do you want your clients to feel as a result of your services?
2. What kind of results would you like to see your customers get by using your services?
3. What are the principles, philosophies, and values you want your business to stand for?
Assessing Potential Clients
Evaluate your existing followers for potential conversion into paying clients: How many are engaged in your posts — how many are active and seeing them, and how many are dormant?
The benchmark in the world is usually a 1–3% engagement rate — if you have more than that — you’re doing great.
If you have less — just be aware that there are a lot of inactive people and you need to look for ways to bring in new audiences interested in what you can offer them — or find new ways to interact with those who are already there.
Understanding Your Journey
There’s a personal reason why you want to help people get the results and changes in their lives that you do. There’s also a reason why you are uniquely qualified to help them do just that. Dive into your past to understand how you can help them with their future.
Journal on the following questions (do it now, or you probably won’t do it at all 🙂):
- How did your life and emotional state used to look in the past?
- How does it look now?
- What helped you make the change and what steps did you take to get there?
Now, you can take a look at the materials and steps that helped you get to where you are, combine them, and build a series of steps you can teach or help someone else go through. Your story is part of who you are and your community wants to hear it. It also makes your offering unique to you and the transformation you can provide.
Crafting Your Offer
Establishing your value proposition is crucial. Now that you’ve defined what’s important to you, and how you help people in a way that aligns with your purpose, you can easily clarify who your services are intended for and exactly what problems they solve.
What are the key problems that you know your clients have that they are aware they have?
Write these down, and craft your offer based on the value it provides them.
In part two of this article, we dive into pricing strategies, money mindset, and the structures and steps you need to take to make your spiritual business real and profitable.
